Artist commerce aims to be the greatest collaboration in the history of culture.
Artistic Commerce—the ethos behind Kumara—is a bit like if Rick Rubin became a business advisor. In fact, people who have worked for me have—on occasion—called me Rick Rubin.
This is partly because I've alway had a superb love of process.
I think design is as much about the process as the end result. This includes the process others will go through when they encounter your work.
And it includes the process of transformation you go through when you do your best work.
Because we are meant to put all of ourselves into what we do.
Which means leaving parts of ourselves behind—letting them go.
So that we can become whoever we're meant to be next.
Commerce is meant to be spiritual
We gave all of ourselves to our past employers because we wanted to do good in the world.
But then we learned that we were being undervalued.
We bought into systems that were designed to disempower us.
We gave all of ourselves.
And we got hurt.
We need to heal our wounds
We need to be honest about the ways we were affected by everything that happened up until this point.
It wasn't our fault.
The world wasn't designed for people like us.
That's because it wasn't designed by people like us
So we need to design one that is.
Can you envision a world where the most successful business leaders are those who approach business with the most artistry?
Artistic Commerce is an idea whose time has come.
You're an artist.
And your medium is commerce.
